huh. the title event turned out to be a letdown cuz oh, i dunno, like 7 ppl turned up out of a potential 14?? still...nvm. more food 4 us! :)

it was held in changi beach a few days ago n the whole cooking part was frankly quite aggravating. 1st of all, it's hard enuff 2 start a fire considering none of us are exactly seasoned pros in the matter. 2nd of all, the wind was really de da4. n den 3rd of all, the first time the fire got started, it started 2 rain n we had 2 move all our bags n food n watnot into the shelter. this scenario occurred 4 a total of 3 times within the duration of the bbq.

the gift xchange was quite gd considering the no. of ppl present. i got a stuffed bear from winnie. the bear happened 2 be exactly the same price as the stuffed dog i bought 4 the xchange so i din make any loss fiscally. lol.

during the most recent quiz training, we had PT. it's quite gd actually, cuz den i won't hv 2 bother 2 exercise when i get home. :) n of course, it's more fun to run around in a grp than all alone...more motivating.

the quiz bell is getting neglected...

camp...ncoc...

damn. it just keeps raining n raining n raining...if this keeps up, it won't be too long b4 S'pore resembles Venice.

well den. camp over for over a wk le. exam over 4 a day le. n i tink i ought 2 tok abt them. if only 2 bring my blog up 2 an active status. :)

somehow i tink this yr's camp lacked someting or the other as compared to last yr de. no idea wat it is thot.

Day One of camp: i think our corp de ren2 abit too conscious of time le. sit in the foyer of the sch abt 1/2 hr b4 we r supposed 2 gather dere. but den again, we always do dat don't we?

sorry everybody 4 the disgusting mud at our confidence training station!!! VERY DE SORRY! n special thks 2 AB for their cooperation n enthu-ness. "the mud is cooling/fun!" although i dun really believe the truth of those statements. haha.

the triage abit...abrupt. ya. n frenzied.

i quite liked the Confidence training games at night, even though they weren't exactly meeting their goals. i mean, at the end of it, who cares abt the "objectives"?

Day Two: Pulau Ubin. One ting that i really like abt topo is dat it's mindless work. all u'd hv 2 do is to persevere in walking until u reach ur destination n ensure that u don't faint. like u don't hv 2 be on total alert mode at all times like in the sch.

the cooking dinner part was actually kinda fun...in a chaotic manner. ppl rushing here n then...shouting...jostling for cover under grdsheets...very lively! ;) n i actually managed to eat quite alot of food. suprising. n i doubt everyone was much concerned abt the rain anw. to be under it is sort of like bathing liddat.

grp walk was fun! the mud wasn't even dat irritating since it's all cooling n squishy! :) n it's almost like taking a early morning stroll...except dat it's not quite late enuff 2 be so. the confidence walk was quite enjoyable 2. if u scare urself to a moderate degree. i thought i went blind or dat my glasses weren't of appropriate prescription during the walk or smth during the individual walk. but den afterwards i realised dats basically wat everybody thought. lol.

for me, the basha making part of the pulau ubin experience is the worst. mostly because we can't actually see wat the heck we're doing. the eventual solution of juz sleeping on the sand directly n giving up on the basha appealed to me tremendously...considering the circumstances.

one annoying thing is dat during the walk or march back to camp, i was practically a zombie. i din even care where i'm stepping as long as i dun get lost so i just plodded my way back by dilligently following the footsteps of the person in front of me. n den during the night sentry (i took the 1st shift), i totally got over the convalesence mode n was as awake as if i had juzt woken up after 8 full hrs of sleep. grrr. why cannot reverse?? but night sentry is actually quite nice. the wind was very cool n great 4 drying off sweat. oso the waves was quite mesmerising...n disturbing.

i tink i din do as gd a job as i could or shld hv as a grp ic in the 1st half of day 2.

pointless post

actually, i wanted 2 devote 1 full entry to farewell party de...but one thing led to another & i dun feel motivated to write abt it.

so, advanced course passed quite fast. everyone's saying dat & i can't figure out why. haha. n now it's approximately 2 days 2 camp. i dun tink it's going to be fun...unless u r abit pervertic. 2days at ubin only powder bath lei! o well, it's probably gd training for OBS next yr.
