SO...June hols have started. I don't know how I feel abt it; I mean, it has lesser HW than previous years. Yays. But it's missing something...maybe the fact that I just sit around all day doing HW and playing "Sims 2" and slacking has something to do with it. Haha.
I've been feeling kinda nostalgic lately so I re-read my diaries from primary school and old blog entries. The only thing I can say about them is that I'm mortified by what I wrote. Seriously. I sounded like a emo wannabe-cum-hyper Harry Potter fangirl. *FACEPALM FACEPLAM FACEPALM* I wish I could just burn 'em and never let them see the light of day ever again.
Right now I've gone off anime and manga abit. The fact that I won't have time to attend the anime convention from June 27-29 doesn't help either. Anyway, I'm kinda obsessive abt Ben 10 and Teen Titans. Watched them practically everyday. But...Cartoon Network! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE BRING BACK XIAOLIN SHOWDOWN!!! Rahh, I NEED to see some Jack fanboyness around Chase. Come to think of it, I have a thing for unrequited love and/ or goodXbad ships. MurakiXTsuzuki... HarryXDraco... YukiXShuichi (well, Yuki is kinda considered a villian)...SladeXRobin (does nobody find the apprentice arc to be suspicious?)...IasonXRiki (either one of them can be the bad guy, depending on whose POV you're coming from)...LXRaito (ULTIMATE YAOI SHIP. the chains. the UST. the mindgames. the matched intelligence. need i say more?)...

I. J.K. Rowling is releasing a prequel to Harry Potter. It will go on sale on June 10 at Waterstones.
II. Death Note is apparently going to have a new novel. Its plot will be based on the lastest DN movie "L: Changes The World". Ohnoes...

Yeah...i tink the gravi anime really wasn't that good. thk god i went onto read the manga instead of giving up on this series alotgether...anw, the anime cut out alot of humour and made alot of the characters one dimensional (e.g. shuichi was the whiniest and most annoying char ever, tohma dressed really badly, yuki was made out to be much more of a mean bastard than he actually is etc. etc.) oso, the plot is quite...average. i mean, there IS a plot that finish thru to the end of the anime but it wasn't anything spectacular. Still, considering the other shounen ai series around, it's still relativly...solid.
the animation was pretty decent considering it was made in like 1999 (WHOA. nearly a decade ago!). for me, the best part was the songs. Alright, so they're more of the techno-pop genre even though Bad Luck and Nittle Grasper are both supoosedly rock bands, but STILL. I LIKE THEM OK??! my personal faves are "sleepless beauty" and "spicy marmalade"..."super drive" comes pretty close too.

although i only read 2 volumes of the gravi manga and gleaned bits of the other volumes from all over the place, i luv it to death! :) it was smart, it was funny, it was crack n best of all, CANON SHOUNEN AI! *drools* ooh yea. the fact that the drawing style is a LITTLE messy does not deter me! the author's notes n sidebars were really interesting too. hopefully,vol. 2 of gravi EX will be out soon.
i finally realised the popularity, not to mention logic, of the YukiX Shuichi ship after reading the manga. they fit each other really well ( i mean, imagine two Yukis attempting to commit suicide all the time or two shu-chans threatening the sanity of tokyo) and they looked completely adorable together too...personally, i kinda go 4 ALOT of ships. oh yea, that's the beauty of the gravi manga! u can stick the chars into all sorts of pairing n it'd STILL seem plausible. XD

ooh yea. have anyone read the Death Note novel about the BB case? it's "narrated" by Mello n the case is abt some pretty gruesome murders. they hv this character in there called Beyond Birthday ("B") who's like the villian of the story but imitates L in every way possible (his wuv for jam comes close to L's penchant 4 all tings sweet). apparently, he was no. 2 at wammy hse (behind L) n got fed up so he decided to be the polar opp of L. oh yea "A" was the "1st" heir at wammy hse or smth, but commited suicide cuz he/she couldn't take the pressure of bring L. Uhh...yea. 0_0 i tink maybe there could be a ship for Beyond and L! *sparkle sparkle sparkle* I mean "BL"=Boys Love. Doesn't that mean ANYTHING? :)

1. Eru Lawliet/ L (Death Note): YAY!!! L!!! *squeezes non-existant L plushie tightly*
2. Yagami Raito (Death Note) : well, he's-uhh- "misled" (re: evil...) but there's no denying his uber bishie-ness. haha. "uber". *puts non existant Raito plushie with said L plushie so that they are snuggling*
3. Mail Jeevas/ Matt (Death Note): uhh, how can he not be here since he's basically the twin of Raito? plus he died 4 a cause that he most probably did not believe in... :(
4. Nate River/ Near (Death Note): he's cute! really cold...but really really really cute!
5. Eiri Yuki (Gravitation): EHH. re: Nate River/ Near
6. Sesshoumaru (InuYasha): doesn't watch or read InuYasha. but I found too many piccies of him on deviantart to ignore him.
7. Yuri Shibuuya (Kyou Kara Maou!) : just think Harry Potter but bishie-fied.
8. Wolfram von Bielefeld (Kyou Kara Maou!) : he kinda reminds me of Draco Malfoy. i like blonde hair, i tink. err yeah.
9. Asato Tsuzuki (Yami no Matsuei) : everyone loves a supposed underdog with incredible capabilities. just like Harry Potter. lol.
10. Kurusaki Hisoka (Yami no Matsuei) : a tough uke is always v. likeable. plus, he likes reading and gets irritated easily...like me...heh...
11. Kazutaka Muraki (Yami no Matsuei) : psychotic villians get all the love, man.
12. Count D (Petshop of Horrors) : i-i-i don't know where to start! the gold-purple eyes! the nice black swishy Mello-like hair! the mysterious smirk that never really leaves his face! the robes that everyone thinks are cheongsams and kimonos, but really aren't! the love for sweets! the " i only care abt animals and i don't care about humans at all"-ness!anw, he's the only ethnic Chinese that I've ever seen in anime/ manga. so, err, asian pride (?)
13. Leon Orcot (Petshop of Horrors) : he's crude and blunt and kinda an asshole sometimes. but then he's all "JUSTICE!" like L which scores well for him. haha. plus he does actually look like a real life guy. not a typical bishie that is indistinguishible from a girl.
14. Mitsukuni Haninozuka (Ouran High School Host Club) : he's like near! except alot more likeable la. heh.
15. Ten-chan (Petshop of Horrors) : he's a cross btw Near and Mello. what more can I say? also, he's a nine tailed fox and is supposed 2 "seduce & trick the mighty". so...YEAH.
16. Vampire Hunter D (Vampire Hunter D) : erm. well. he has nice hair. and clothes. im not really into this fandom. :)
17. Suo Tamaki (Ouran High School Host Club) : Abit like an anime version of Lestat de Lioncourt from the Vampire Chronicles, me tinks. his zi4 bi4 mode is freaking hilarious la.
18. Ryuuichi Sakuma (Gravitation): described in a fansite as "the one who hold the secret to eternal youth", he is my absolute fav character from Gravitation! so cute. so cute. so cute. err...i almost had a heart attack when I found out that he is 31...hee. i want a Kumagorou too...
19. Tohma Seguchi (Gravitation) : meh. he reminds me of Draco Malfoy. XD plus he looks way younger than his age (32) too. just like his fellow green-haired bandmate (re: Ryuuichi)... *GASP* is the fountain of youth...being in a band?! oh. trivia. he has the same coat as Hisoka from Yami no Matsuei. hm, so. even anime characters need 2 share clothes!
20. Hiroshi Nakano (Gravitation) : I don't have that much 2 say abt him 4 now...except, how the *beep* DOES he put up with Shuuichi (possibly the most annoying anime character i've ever come across. no offense to his fans.)
If Near and Mello ever got together and had a kid (anything's possible in fangirl world), i think it'd really turn out to look like Ten-chan. Near-ness: White hair, white jacket/ shirt (?), plays with hair, calmness. Mello-ness: wears a cross, black leather clothes, black boots, psychotic eyes, sitting positions.
